XXI
93 bodies of work, 15 different exhibitions, 13 days.

Nottingham Trent University’s, BA Hons Photography are proud to present its contribution to the NTU Degree Show Festival 2017 with XXI. Our course has reached its 21st degree show and this year we’re proud share our work under the NTU flag which has reached into the art spaces across the Nottingham City Centre. We have exhibitions in some of the most renowned spaces of Nottingham, such as Backlit & Surface Gallery and some in spaces which weren’t used until this year, such as the Snention Market Units.

93 students began their road to the NTU Degree Show Festival 2017 with a brilliant display of initiative and ownership, by electing the XXI Degree Show Committee and encouraging them to take authority of the core operations involving the final show. The committee was made up of 20 students and spilt into 4 groups and two elected Chairs, all shared the goal of making this years show rememberable.

Each student has come to the final stretch of their time with course and have produced work which will project them into the professional world. The works which are presented cover a range of topics. Much like their creators, the works do not take one approach to photography, but instead we see an array of artworks which all deal with a researched field of interest that the photographers have come to understand. Every photographer featured provides the XXI Degree Show with an assortment of subject matters, visual styles, art theories and political stances, all to make for an engaging 13 days.

On behalf of those exhibiting, we would like to welcome you and encourage you to look around.
